We're just minutes from
downtown Northampton, MA.

At the shop, (which has plenty of free parking) we offer everything you might need for a variety of fiber arts and crafts using wool. In addition to tools and supplies, we offer original and custom designs as well as handmade pieces by a variety of area artists to inspire you. Meanwhile we are gathering stock, preparing designs, honing our skills and working on our own original rugs, ottomans and other items.

We have a bookcase full of new & used publications on rug hooking, various textile arts and crafts, dyeing and designing.

From the North:
From the Vermont/Massachusetts border take Interstate 91 South to Exit 20. Turn left off exit onto Route 5 & 10 (King Street.) Follow King Street south to the main intersection in Northampton - Hotel Northampton and stone Courthouse on right, Calvin Theater and deco Silverscape building on left. Turn right onto Northampton's Main Street (Route 9) and stay on RT 9 through Smith College, past the High School, and past Cooley Dickinson Hospital; until you reach the center of Florence's first traffic light - Cooper's Corner on right and a Citgo Station on left. Continue straight through the light for another 100 feet past a large brick former mill complex, and turn left into the parking lot labeled #40. Wool and Dye Works is on the right in a low building behind a white frame house.

From the South:
Take Interstate 91 North to Exit 18 in Northampton, MA. Turn left off the exit and follow Route 5 north to the center of Northampton. Turn left onto Northampton's Main St (Route 9) and stay on RT 9 through Smith College, past the High School, and past Cooley Dickinson Hospital, until you reach the center of Florence's first traffic light with Cooper's Corner on right and a Citgo Station on left. From the West:
Follow Route 9 heading East from Williamsburg, through Leeds (past the Veterans Administration on the left) until you come to the traffic light (old brick shop building closed gas station on right, shops and Pizza Factory on left). Go straight through light past Miss Florence Diner on left and Friendly's on left. Just past Friendly is a white frame house. Turn right into the large parking area after house. Wool and Dye Works is on your right in a long building attached to the rear of the white house.

From the East:
• Alternative 1: Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Interstate 91 and follow the directions above "From the South."
• Alternative 2: Take Route 2 to Interstate 91 and follow the directions above "From the North."
• Alternative 3: Follow Route 9 through Amherst and Hadley to the center of Northampton. Follow the directions above "From the West."
